Egg Noodle Bake

A Cozy, Traditional Comfort Dish

Ingredients
8 ounces wide egg noodles
1 tablespoon butter
1 ¼ pounds lean ground beef
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon oregano
½ teaspoon ground black pepper
½ teaspoon garlic powder
1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
1 cup cottage cheese
1 cup sour cream
1 cup chopped green onions
1 cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese

Directions
Cook egg noodles in boiling salted water according to package directions. Drain, toss with butter, and set aside.
Preheat oven to 350°F.
In a large skillet, brown the ground beef. Add salt, oregano, black pepper, garlic powder, and tomato sauce. Simmer for about 5 minutes.
In a large bowl, combine the cottage cheese, sour cream, green onions, meat sauce, and cooked noodles. Mix well.
Transfer the mixture to a greased casserole dish and sprinkle evenly with shredded Cheddar cheese.
Bake uncovered for 20 minutes, or until heated through and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
